Daily Prompt: The Problem with ‘Maybe’

via Daily Prompt: Maybe

maybe adverb | may·be |\ˈmā-bē also ˈme-\
: possibly but not certainly

Maybe this won’t work.

Maybe we are making a mistake.

Maybe we should wait until we retire.

Maybe I’ll die tomorrow.

Maybe questions can drive a person mad. There is no certainty in life there are definitely no certainties in ‘maybes.’

Maybe keeps us stuck.

A wise Jedi once said “Do or do not, there is no try.”

A “maybe” makes a “no” so much easier. The is no commitment in a maybe, no one can hold you accountable with a maybe.

So here is to more yes and no, and a lot less maybe.
